NEW
ZEALAND STORY
Kiwis, Kiwis, Kiwis! I've always liked
this quirky little gem from long ago, so I decided to contribute
a little wallpaper in remembrance of a fine game that went fairly
unnoticed. This wallpaper was added to the excellent site:
BUBBLE BOBBLE HQ
where you can find info on this game and other cute Taito masterpieces!

MEGAMAN
TRIBUTE
Even though he's never been able to duck, rockman
aka megaman (aka sequelman) is one of the most enduring videogame
icons of our time, and this is my quaint little tribute to all
of his marvelous 2d jump-n-shoot adventures . . if you're a
fan of the series, and hey - who isn't - I suggest you get this
one . . . oh yes, as a sidenote, the background was generated
in a FREEWARE application known as "Terragen" . .
check it out if you're into that sort of thing.
|
NESTALGIA
I did this wallpaper for a site called NEStalgia
that specialize in Nintendo ROMS and what not - check 'em out
if you like at: http://www.nestalgia.xs3.com
anyway, this is sort of a future/retro thing, with
Matrix-esque green grids and some monitors displaying old NES
classics . . it's fairly hard to describe, but you might get a
kick out of it, so check it out.

SAMURAI
SHODOWN
Samurai Shodown has some great character designs;
as you can probably tell from this wallpaper I did, my personal
favorite is definitely Ukyo Tachibana . . . the quiet-but-deadly
ladies' man type . . . . this is another wallpaper that uses a
custom 3d backdrop and overlay / color dodge compositing techniques
. . if you understood that, raise your hand . . . congrats! Grab
it if you like the series . . which you should ^^

IMPACT
Wallpaper - evil face, quote "Some
things are worth the wait". I made this a while back and
decided to add it here just in case anyone had an interest in
an IMPACT wallpaper . . .

METAL
SLUG 2
Let's just get this absolutely straight:
if you don't like Metal Slug, seek immediate psychiatric HELP.
The platforming pride of SNK's beast, MS1, 2, and X, and soon
3, are all great & immaculate shooters that have so much animation
it hurts your parts just THINKING about it. This is my lil tribute
to MS2 in particular, which you should download and plaster your
desktop for at least a week with, in solemn worship ^^

LAST
BLADE 2
You haven't really lived until
you've played this game . . my god! Samurai Shodown gets more
attention, but for my money, this honey is GOLDEN, and deserves
major kudos for doing the whole badass samurai swordsmen thing
RIGHT. I did a 3d background, then compositied in Photoshop -
CHECK IT!!!!!

VAMPIRE
SAVIOR
Very rarely am I 100% happy with anything I do,
but this wallpaper is an exception. If you love Vampire Savior
like I love Vampire Savior, download this NOW and put it on up
. . . if not, well, find an arcade or a modified Saturn and play
this game for yourself! Honestly, I'm not sure if I'll ever do
a better wallpaper . . .

Spaceship
This is an enlarged shot from episode #94,
which saw Pretzel and Green piloting their very own spaceship
. . had some groovy gfx, relatively speaking, and so I thought
I would make it available as a full-size image . . .

"THE
WORLD is NOT ENOUGH"
Parody of recent James Bond film. Features
our heros hovering over an unsuspecting Earth.
Bwaahaa!

RETROGAMES
Wallpaper: Atila was actually the first
person to post on the FIRST episode of OC, and also helped set
up the initial overclocked domain way back when . . RG is one
of those sites that really makes the scene, IMO . . and thus I
bestow upon it this nifty wallpaper ^^

PUZZLE
BOBBLE
Ahh, the immortal Puzzle Bobble! I cooked
this up because I wanted to contribute something to an awesome
site, hosted by us - the BUBBLE
BOBBLE HQ - which I strongly recommend you visit. This
one has kind of a futuristic look that you wouldn't immediately
think fits Puzzle Bobble, but I think it worked in the end. |

GEOSHOCK
The excellent neo-geo etc page Geoshock
is really one of the best emu-sites out there - this is my tribute
to their continuing dedication to quality AND quantity.

"Mount

by far the world's largest standing
monument to the triumph of man's will in the realm of emulation

OVERCLOCKED
PHOTOMOSAIC
Do you remember when these were all the craze? This is in my
opinion a pretty cool wallpaper, made up of hundreds of frames
from various episodes of OC, put together to form a giant image
of P & G, using a program called "Mosaic Studio"
. . purty neat, eh?
